They make a preservative. Any car parts place sells it.

Instead of scooters, might I suggest old style mopeds.

I've got a few 5 gallon cans that I add Sta-bil (sp) to. You can get it at Wal-Mart.

The ethanol [in all gasoline] will eventually [mine is 1 1/2 yr old gas] seperate & go to the bottom of the tank. i screwed up & pumped off the bottom into our jeep & it ran bad, trouble starting & check engine light on too [went off finally]. so heads up .it can damage the engine. i'll stir next time[ is a 55 gal. drum].

i used the PRI too.

Run it in every gasoline engine you have, and you won't regret it.
